I've just released a new application for the Android(tm) platform named Enigma. Enigma is a code-breaking game where you try to decrypt a block of text that has been encrypted using a "substitution cipher" - yes, we are talking about cryptograms. This was an interesting program to put together and I was surprised that one hadn't already been done on the Android platform - or at least not one that I saw.
This release has over 200 different puzzles and each time a puzzle is presented, the cipher is different. The puzzles are chosen randomly, so you will eventually get the same block text again (the encoding will be different). Future releases will have more puzzles - in fact, this is probably the most time consuming part. I can't afford to have typographical errors or it will ruin the experience. I also want to make the text interesting to read afterwards. Back to typing....
I hope you enjoy this new game.
